If you’re reading this, then you are most likely interested in acquiring this painting to hang on your wall. So at least let me tell you a bit of backstory on this painting.

This is the second piece in “The Gospel Collection”. This makes this piece 2 of 3. I wanted this to represent the resurrection. But not in a way that anyone has seen before.

When sin entered the world, it happened in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. The world became broken after this and was in need of a savior. Many years later, Jesus came and washed away those sins with His blood. He was crucified, died, and was buried. But then, 3 days later, He conquered death and the grave.

What’s unique about His resurrection is that the first person to witness Him after it. Her name was Mary. One of Jesus’ closest followers besides His 12 disciples. She has known Him for years, but didn’t recognize Him standing in front of her. She thought He was a gardener and even asked Him what they did with His body. It wasn’t until she heard His voice that she recognized Him. He only had to say her name.

The reason I named this piece “The Gardener Returns” is because of this story from the Bible. The Garden was corrupted and destroyed by Adam and Eve, but the gardener (Jesus) came and restored it and gave us life!
